Very disappointed ☹️ Very uncomfortable beds in caboose very small for a large caboose number 1 this is more for little children not teenagers and young adults unless it’s your thing but it’s very peaceful there.. You must have a 24 hour notice if you wish to leave early I only found out this morning and I value my money so I’m stuck here back hurting and I just want my own bed now

We stayed in a railroad car while visiting the area around Lancaster. There are a lot of different cars on the property, some looking better on the outside than others. The interior of ours was clean and the evenings were quiet. The room was cooled by a window unit air conditioner which did an adequate job of keeping the whole car cool. There were two bunk beds along with a separate bed located on the opposite end of the car. Between the two sleeping areas was a bathroom with a pedestal sink and shower. When you book a stay here, you know you aren’t getting a 5 star property, so we were not disappointed with our experience. Our 5 year old grand daughter got the excitement of sleeping in a train car and having a petting zoo on property, and that was what we hoped for. It is a bit crowded in the rail cars if you have several suitcases, and there are no drawers, closets, or other storage areas available. That was still a minor inconvenience for the happiness we saw from our grand daughter

When you have a chance to stay in caboose, why not? PROS: It was comfortable, clean, quiet. Be careful choosing your style of room, we had a double/double. It worked fine for us. All staff was very nice, full of information and cared that we were happy. There are some animals onsite that you can pet/feed. Also nice to park outside our caboose, no need to drag luggage very far. A few cons, be aware accommodations are tight! Like…you can not walk around the bed tight. Also, the caboose high windows have no blinds or covering, great for light, not so great when the sun rises before 6am flooding the caboose with light!
