Sagano Sightseeing Train

This is a sightseeing train that runs on the tracks of the old JR San'in Main Line due to the electrification of the JR San'in Main Line.

The Art Deco train with golden and black patterns on the red body runs 7.3 km from Saga Station, which is adjacent to JR Saga Arashiyama Station, to Kameoka Station, which is about 25 minutes long. Almost the entire line runs along the Hozu River, where you can see beautiful seasonal scenery.

You can visit the largest railway diorama in western Japan at the Saga Station of the sightseeing train before or after taking the sightseeing train. The diorama features extremely detailed models of famous places and temples in Kyoto. You can operate the various railway models running in it using the same master controller (common name: Mascon) as the driver's seat of a real train. It is a must-see for those who love railways, but even those who don't like railways should definitely come.

The Sagano Trolley Train runs on the tracks of the former Sanin Main Line, which was abandoned due to the electrification of the double-tracked JR Sanin Main Line.

The most distinctive feature of the diorama is the extremely detailed models of Kyoto's famous places, temples, and shrines.
