Intersur Recoleta

This was our first trip to Buenos Aires. This hotel came highly recommended from an acquaintance. The location is perfect, near shopping and parks. The atmosphere was very professional. Stefania is absolutely amazing. The food was delicious. Rooms were clean and from our traveling experience the value was exceptional.

I am currently staying at the Hotel Intersur Recoleta with a tour group of 22 people from the U.S. We have been here for several days. It is the perfect venue for visiting Bueno Aires for the first time. First, is the superb location. Recoleta is a very safe, charming and vibrant neighborhood - one of the wealthier ones in B.A. Many families with young children live here, as well as other residents, which makes the people-watching excellent. Second is the abundance of cafe's, bakeries, shops and restaurants for every taste and budget. This hotel is around the corner from 3 major museums as well as the famous cemetery. You can walk virtually for hours and stop at any time for lunch, a coffee, or any treat. The Intersur itself is spotless, well-maintained and staffed by a very cordial and professional staff (who speak English). Security is good with elevators requiring a room key to access any floor. Their breakfast buffet is large, with delicious coffee. A popular Italian restaurant is located in the lobby and hotel guests receive a 20% discount. My room is in the back, very quiet and sunny. I am very pleased with this hotel choice and will stay here again if I have the opportunity to return to Buenos Aires.

We stayed here for a number of days and had very good service for the most part. The hotel is clean and bright. Stefania at the Front Desk seems to know everything about everything Buenos Aires and was extremely helpful when we needed translation help on the telephone. She has definitely found her calling in hospitality services. Our only complaint was that the room service menu was limited in their offerings across the day and in the late afternoon, the only thing available was ham and cheese sandwiches and fruit smoothies. As rule, we do not normally order room service, but I was ill and didn't want to go to the restaurant for fancy meals.
