Jam Suites Boutique Hotel

Me and a group of 15 guys booked the entire place for a week. It was great service. Upon arrival the owner had hot empanadas and cold beer waiting for us on the courtyard. The rooms are basic but clean and air conditioned. The living room and kitchen are spacious and stylish. The backyard courtyard is excellent for sipping wine or sun tanning. Palermo is the hippest neighbourhood in BA and there are excellent bars, restaurants and clubs within walking distance. If you want to hang by a pool then contact the Oasis private members club which is walking distance away. For 50 dollars they will let you spend the day there.

Background: 1) Turns out that paying in Argentine pesos is better if you bring dollars and somehow get the right exchange (there are two markets). 2) Taxes are 22%, so it's a large chunk. Situation: Hotel trying to make me pay in dollars rather than pesos (more expensive since they use the market's lower oficial rate) and they still havent given me an official receipt (I wonder what happened with the 22% tax). - safe didn't work - no bedroom service (one day) - room needed at least a chair, desk (and some decor) - too informal

While we were looking for a place to celebrate our wedding, we stumbled accross the Jam Suites Boutique Hotel. From the many places we were looking at, it seemed to be the best choice and so we went with our gut feeling and chose to celebrate in the heart of Palermo. Luis and his stuff were super helpful right from the start and signalled, that we could just make this place our home and design our wedding as we would like to. So we rented the place from Thursday all the way to Sunday and enjoyed a great time in a wonderful location with family and friends and had a nice Party with + 100 guests that Friday. From the time we stepped in with all our stuff, we felt welcome and at home. It was amazing, how all the hotel stuff helped us in all the preparations to have a great time and an even better fiesta. I cant thank you guys enough, you really made this special day / weekend for us as unforgettable as it now is. Talking about it now, we couldn´t imagine a better place to celebrate. As promised, the next time we will be back in BA, we certainly come by and stay for a few days (even though we would be able to stay with family :-) ).
