Sheraton Buenos Aires Convention Center

Before my trip to Spain, I chose this 5-star hotel for its location; luxurious, pleasant, sauna, pool, gym, good lobby bar—what more could I ask for on a rainy day? Recommended from every angle.

Two days in this beautiful hotel with a very pleasant breakfast service offering a lot of choices and great variety. We were supposed to stay for just one day, but we wished to extend for one more night. However, we encountered an issue on the second day. Upon returning from a walk in Buenos Aires on the second day, our room access badge was no longer valid. The reception asked us to present an ID, even though our passport was scanned upon our arrival in their database; however, the receptionist indicated that he could not access that information. Fortunately, we had our documents with us, even though we are often advised to leave them in the safe. Once the access to the room was validated, we could no longer access the elevators this time. After 10 minutes of waiting, we spoke with another equally unpleasant receptionist who made the same request; however, this time I insisted that he check his database, which he did immediately. We find it unfortunate that such a hotel is unable to maintain the validity of our room access badge, requiring us to go to the reception twice to return, and the rather unpleasant attitude on their part despite the poor management of our access. Perhaps they should review their training related to customer service.
