El Casco Art Hotel

We chose El Casco for its gorgeous lakeside location and proximity to Circuito Chico. While the interior is nothing particular special -- it feels like a business class hotel with rooms off long hallways, our room itself was spectacular, a massive suite with a killer view. The hotel bar staff was great, too -- especially Eziquel, who whipped up a terrific Negroni variant using his house made Rosa Mosqueta gin and Cynar instead of Campari, really excellent. If your priority is to explore the town of Bariloche by night, this would not be the best choice as it is 12 kilometers from the town center and traffic on the two-lane road is always jammed. But if city nightlife is not what you're here for, this place is great. For dining out, I highly recommend El Mallin, a cozy winter-themed restaurant just across the road; we ate their twice and loved it.

Amazing!! Warmth of its environments.....paintings and sculptures for all tastes ...in its rest exquisite dishes ..good selection of wines ..very good breakfast..and the attention of the staff attentive to every detail...

We visited Bariloche, of course, for the lakes which we knew would be beautiful. What we hadn’t properly anticipated was the stunning setting of the hotel next to one of those lakes, overlooked by mountains in the background, and birds regularly floating in to land on the water. The room was spacious and immaculate, the aspects of the bar and dining areas were amazing. The reception is open 24/7 and everyone we met there were very friendly. We also enjoyed chatting with the bar and restaurant staff. There was ample choice at breakfast, both savoury and sweet. (The restaurant was also excellent for evening meals.) It is important to note that the location of this hotel is a few kilometres outside of central Bariloche. This may impact the decision of some potential guests but was no issue for us, and Uber is available.
