Galileo Boutique Hotel

3 stars may be a little harsh, it's not the hotel's fault that the weather was bad and that the whole village felt a bit like a ghost town out of season with very few bars and restaurants open. But we did feel that they could have let us know in advance or at least when we arrived. When we asked what restaurants/ bars they recommended they seemed unsure what to say but they didn't mention the lack of places being open. Anyway, aside from this they were friendly and the room was huge (we got an upgrade). But we left after one night as we felt a bit trapped.

A little bit of heaven on earth...a beautiful hotel a wonderful staff and a memory for a lifetime... it was certainly worth it and for a lifetime in this place there will be a little bit of our best memories. Thank you x your attentions

First off, this is not ski in/ski out hotel, but it is about 1km from the base of Cerro Catedral. They have a unique service of bringing breakfast to your room at a time you pick. Breakfast was very good with eggs, pastries, spreads, and drinks. This was super nice and appreciate getting eggs that have not been sitting in a buffet for who knows how long. Our room had a full kitchen that was stocked with essentials for cooking. Room was clean and comfortable. The owner of this hotel built a large telescope (about 12-inch diameter ) for astronomy viewings, and the front desk arranged for a guided star gazing experience. This led to the inclusion of "Galileo" in the hotel name. We loved our time there and would stay there again.
