Casa Patagonica Los Sauces

the place is very well kept, rooms are spacious and decorated in a very luxurious though simple, comfortable and cozy. they simply lack of service, inexperienced staff and very indifferent to our requests, nothing that you would expect regarding the prices. Lovely spot, but nothing special as we expected, as we've been around Patagonia already for almost a month, and found beautiful places and much simpler lodges with warm and attentive people

The resort is very beautiful, individual buildings spread around nicely landscaped grounds with trees and flower beds. We were there in fall and the plants had not yet gone dormant. I'm not sure how old the property is but it is either brand new or extremely well cared for. We had a suite with living room, a nook with office area and a spacious king bedroom. All very modern and colorfully decorated. The bathroom featured a separate water closet, and a separate room with shower and Jacuzzi tub. The rooms are very well cared for, clean, warm and comfortable. There is a restaurant on property that offers a nice continental breakfast and gourmet dinner selections in the evening. A bar with great wines and spirits. Los Sauces is probably the nicest resort in Patagonia. The front desk arranged whatever transportation we need as well as tours of the glaciers about an hour or so away. I highly recommend both Patagonia to see the glaciers before they fall victim to global warming, yes global warming is real, and Los Sauces.

I reserved the hotel through Expedia two months ahead of time,...We even wrote to the hotel and arranged airport transportation service and several tour hotel pickups. However, four days prior to our check in date, we were suddenly told that the hotel was closed. We had to reserve another hotels in a hurry and pay much higher price than usual. Further, we must notify transportation company and tour company the address of the new hotel. What a bad experience!
