Poincenot Hotel

The rooms here are spacious, with comfy beds and plenty of storage for luggage etc. The only issue we encountered was the temperamental shower but that was most likely due to everybody wanting hot water at the same time, and as such a one-off. The staff are very friendly, and the hotel’s location is perfectly placed in the centre of the town.

I don’t give it 5 stars just because the rooms are a bit dated, but this place will always remain in my memories. Very kind staff (the girls at the reception were super nice, they helped us and gave advice for trekking, checking weather and wind), even when we had to leave for walks at unproposable times (5 am) they made us find coffee / tea, a croissant and fruit. Buffet breakfast (small but with everything you need) Rooms as already mentioned a bit dated, but equipped with everything. Location for us vote 10: 5 minutes walk from the start of the major trails of el chalten (tower lagoon and lagoon los tres) and still close to the center. We stayed two nights but wish we had more time to enjoy this little paradise called El chalten even more.
