Rincon De Los Suenos

Charming staff who unfortunately have not got their act together. Three nights with on and off hot water, half cooked food (great lump of meat cooked one end but still frozen the other) and noise from other guests, and as below. Our third night was a return visit (stuck with it as arranged by tour company, and unfortunately a fourth night too...cannot wait to be gone) and we had a room with a vent coming from the kitchen up through our wardrobe through which all kitchen sounds came...music, talking, machines venting etc. Bathrooms tiles chipped and stained, no bathroom plugs (had to go and ask), Dining room tables dirty. Horrid surroundings too. Absolutely to be avoided at all cost. The staff deserve better organisation from above.

Previous reviews of this hotel are accurate. It is pleasant, convenient for airport pickup or the bus station, and close enough to town for a 10-15 minute walk. The neighborhood is quiet. Sleeping is comfortable and clean; breakfast is good. It was the only hotel we stayed in that served Yerba mate tea at breakfast; a kind waiter showed me how to make it. We did not see an elevator, so bags must be carried up 2 flights. Although the rooms are somewhat worn, we can recommend it for the positives. There was more dependable wifi in the rooms that some nicer hotels. Very nice staff at the front desk, both day and night.

The hotel is located in the quiet surroundings some 10 minutes walk from the Calafate main street with shops and restaurants. Rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is not especially rich. It's a good place for accomodation if you plan to visit Perito Moreno glacier.
