We stayed for 4 nights in April 2026. Like any hotel, it has positive aspects and some areas for improvement. Positive aspects: very central and close to the port where various water tours depart, very good breakfast in quality and quantity. It has a good gym that can be used at no additional cost. Areas for improvement: I believe its price is high considering the quality of the services offered. You can perfectly hear what is being said in the adjacent rooms. Very small bathrooms, which poses an inconvenience for elderly individuals or those with mobility issues, at least in the room assigned to us (330). I found the staff to be somewhat unempathetic and not very communicative. Conclusion: I believe it is a rather overrated hotel when compared to others in that city; however, it can be recommended with the noted exceptions.

The only great thing is the location. We were on an extended stay of 15 days. Every day, the ground-floor facilities, armchairs, sofas remained plagued by foreign tourists waiting to board cruise ships. They queued up to use the toilet facilities where the breakfast room/restaurant is located, they ate on the armchairs. Everything was riddled with noise, trash and bad smell. Not at all recommended for extended stay. I wouldn't repeat.

Let me preface this review by saying we’re from Canada and have stayed in a range of hotels from total dives to 5 stars. We’re not especially fussy travellers. Wifi did not work in our first room. We were told someone would come to fix it but they didn’t. At the time of booking and at check in we requested to be in the same room for all 3 nights as one regular room had been booked by our cruise company and I booked the last two. The last two nights were a suite and we were willing to be in either room type to avoid the hassle of moving. At check in we were told we could stay in the same room but needed to sign a paper saying we agreed to the downgraded room. When we returned that evening to do so we were told we’d need to move to the suite as a regular room was no longer available. We protested and were told we could remain in the regular room. When we asked about the rate we were told it would be for the same price as the suite ($500 US/nt). What?! Naturally we moved to the suite. There was no apology for the lack of information about the rate and not telling us the change would only be made once we signed this paper. When we moved into the suite, it was 25*C. No A/C which we understood given the local climate but opening the windows meant excessive light and noise. Even at the height of tourist season in a large city, for $500 US/nt I would not expect scuffed furniture and walls, chipped tile, no facial tissue or hand lotion, etc. Breakfast buffet had something to appeal to most (unless you have Celiac) and I did love the fresh pear juice. Also mildly stressful was that there were no tags for luggage storage. We were told there was a camera which doesn’t prevent anyone from taking it in the first place.
