Cumbres del Martial

The complex and cabins are located outside Ushuaia, about 15 minutes up the mountain. The cottages themselves are beautiful and cozy, but dark and without views. I had booked the most expensive cabin, with its own sauna, but it is located within the last bend of the mountain road. So the cars drive almost around the cabin, so it is accordingly loud. For a 4 star hotel with corresponding price not acceptable that there is absolutely no service. When I arrived, no one was present in the whole complex, but I could enter the cabin with a code. In the cottage no internet, there hardly any reception on the phone. The cottage was completely overheated at first, you could hardly walk barefoot over the underfloor heating. I reached someone with the help of the waiters of the local beer place. Internet could not be put into operation (I then found out myself that the router was not properly plugged in), and a lady then downregulated the heating a bit, with the result that it was then completely off. Cold night at -2 degrees. Even on the following days the reception was never occupied, I was then allowed to walk around before my departure and look for someone where I could pay for 1 completely overpriced bottle of wine from the minibar. I had to leave 2 days early for urgent reasons, of course the paid nights were not refunded. Overall, not a good experience.

I stayed in a cabin and then moved into a room. I liked the room better than the cabins although you hear a lot of noises from the hallway and then neighbouring rooms. The heating worked fine. We had a problem in one of the cabins that did not have hot water 4 days. That can't happen. I stayed at Cumbres del Martial in March. When I arrived, I was sincerely amazed by the beauty of the place. However, I arrived on a Sunday and the reception was closed so I had to find my cabin on my own. The cabin is honestly very beautiful and worthy of a decoration magazine. But the compliments for the place will unfortunately stop there. It was very, very hot in the cabin. And there is no way to lower the temperature. So I spent the first night with all the (small) windows open. The next day I wanted to take a shower but the water was cold. I contacted reception and was told that the necessary steps would be taken. Indeed the next day it was a little cooler but the water was still just as cold. Believe me, taking a cold shower in Ushuaia, even in a “luxury chalet”, is not fun. From the second day the reception told me that I didn't know how to use the shower... incredible. You would have to turn the tap “gently”. Of course I tried it straight away but that didn't work either. In fact, someone sent me a video of my shower to tell me that it worked… a joke. On the 3rd day I went to reception, but there was no one there. In short, I never saw anyone. My messages are not taken seriously. They always have excuses. To top it off, work is taking place in front of the chalet. Of course impossible to use the jacuzzi... with workers constantly passing in front of the chalet and cold water. Finally On the last day of my stay, I found the door to my chalet open. Anyone could come in and take the stuff. I have asked multiple times for compensation for all these problems but the only answer I get is that the owners are on vacation and have not yet seen the problem. The customer doesn't seem to be their priority ⚠️ I strongly advise against staying at this establishment. If I had obtained a reduction in compensation my opinion would have been different but the indifference and lack of respect from the customer is truly incredible.
