Hosteria Ailen

We stayed at Hostearia Ailen from January 20th to 26th. Our stay would be until the 24th but due to the strike we had to extend it for another two days. The guesthouse is simple, but comfortable, clean and well maintained. The breakfast is simple but very tasty, media lunas, bread, ham, cheese, juice, coffee, jams. I loved the media moons. Mr. Antônio is very friendly and helpful, providing information, calling taxis and guiding us on tours. The wifi worked very well while we were there. The taxi to the center cost around 2500 to 3000 pesos. Uber is a little cheaper. around 1600, 2000 thousand.

We had a great stay, slept comfortably and staff are absolutely lovely! However it's quite a way out of town, we didn't mind as we love walking but otherwise you depend on a taxi to come and go. Clean and looked after!

Hosteria Ailen is far from the city center, but consider there's a bus stop across the street and taxi is not expensive in Ushuaia. The hostel is simple ok ... but Miguel, the host, will make you feel like in your own house, give you a key of the front door and help you with phone calls and tours. Breakfast consists on juice, bread, marmalade, coffee, milk, yougurt, some cereal and ... delicious argentinian "creme de leche" ... need more?
