Comfort Inn & Suites Georgian

The place is a short 10 minute walk from the train station. Harris market is just in front of the place.. Relatively clean with a strong strange perfume in the air. However the place is noisy, with loud music most of the time - both during the day and at night. The motel operators need to work on improving on their knowledge of the local environment, so that they could provide accurate information for their guests. They should be honest when providing information to guests. They told us that the public bus service is extremely poor and there is no uber services in Albury, which was a complete lie. They need to respect their guests and be honest and upfront with them .

Impressed with offer to upgrade to a family room at no extra cost, so had no need to climb steps, which is good for us older folk. Very polite receptionist. Room great & well appointed & motel easy to find. Definitely would stay again. Parking a bit tight when full but manageable ok.

We booked a last minute room for 2 families. Arrived at hotel, had to lug our suitcases up the stairs. Walked into our room, it was very old abd DIRTY. I wanted to use the toilet facilities and found a poop in the toilet. Not a piece but a massive one. I was horrified. If the toilet WAS cleaned, there was no way you would miss it. The bed linen looked used (had stains on the white doona) and I was afraid I would catch bed bugs or scabies. The split system had very large cobwebs on it abd looked dirty. Mould on the roof of bathroom. Door chain was missing. I absolutely checked out after 15 minutes. We'd travelled from Sydney heading home and needed to stop in Albury. Our friends staying in the other room also felt theirs was dirty. I went to reception and they asked if we had slept in the bed (clearly not after 15 minutes) and did we take a photo of the poop. I walked them upstairs and showed them all the dirty bits in the room. The receptionist tried to tell me the mould was "a bad paint job". What a joke. I have stayed at many hotels for both personal and work trips. I have NEVER checked out of one, this was a first. Do not stay here. The reviews aren't even close to what you get here!
