Peppers Craigieburn is in a lovely location with plenty of charm, but the property is in need of significant maintenance. Aside from check-in, we didn’t see a single staff member during our stay. The verandahs are weathered, and much of the outdoor furniture looks tired and overdue for replacement. The rooms are small but generally well appointed. Unfortunately, the bathroom let the experience down with what felt like the oldest shower head still in existence. Overall, the accommodation lacks consistency between its premium positioning and the attention to detail. The dining experience was disappointing. The restaurant would only offer dinner via an $80 fixed-price menu, with no à la carte option available. Room service was unnecessarily complicated to order and felt overpriced for what was offered. Overall, the beautiful setting has great potential, but the lack of maintenance, limited dining options, and inconsistent guest experience mean it doesn’t currently deliver the standard expected of the Peppers brand.

Disappointing. We went for dinner. The place was freezing.. In Hickorys restaurant, one small air conditioner was on. The radiators for central heating were turned off. I turned the one next to our table on to try & kerp warm... no atmosphere in the place. Bright lights not soft lighting to enhance the quite plain rooms. Needs an interior designer to give the place some atmosphere.. No real fires but gas flame ones. Everyone was huddled around the fureplaces with ciats still on.. We remember when it was a lovely country hotel now it is bland and modernised taking away the character... Food ok but not warm enough...

Peppers Craigieburn Bowral is enchanting. We spent four nights in this delightful historic hotel overlooking the magnificent gardens and private golf course. There are multiple seating areas with open fireplaces to choose from. The resort is located close enough to Bowral's town centre, but also far enough away to make it feel like you’re staying in a magical secret garden location. Hickory’s restaurant and bar offers outstanding dining options. The atmosphere is like stepping back in time and the staff are highly professional and friendly-they really went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable getaway experience 😊
