Paradiso Resort

My son got married in Kingscliff last weekend, both families booked months ago to stay there, 7 days before the wedding they cancel rooms and gave some lame excuse. Our room stunk of sewage and mold. It was absolutely filthy and they sent an email telling me that I was expected to clean the room and if I didn’t they would charge me extra. The rooms were absolutely filthy when we arrived. The wedding organisers suggested we booked there. Based on the cleanliness, security and product provided it was overpriced and expensive, the only benefit was it’s location. The spa water smelt horrendous and was slippery with slim, the pool was filthy. When you walked into the front foyer you were greeted by a terrible smell. Definitely a place people should avoid until they fix the multiple issues. Certainly not worth paying what we paid. Tiny bugs would crawl over you if you sat on the lounge

Arrived late as expected, got keys from the Dropbox as expected. Passed a guy sleeping on floor in foyer when we got in… ok… Couldn’t get into the room as someone had broken in and locked it. We could see the bed was unmade and there were bottles on the sink. By midnight we had no choice but to find somewhere else to stay as there was nothing they could do. Dropped keys back the next morning and was assured of refund, still waiting for that and no one can tell when we’ll get it. We’re all adults and have enough money to find alternate accommodation, I’d hate to think of a family with young kids who’d saved for a holiday going through this experience.

Terrible for price $900 a night and place was filthy with hair in shower. Advertised as a roof top spa bath which was not working or even filled with water. Stipulate you have to clean up before you leave didn’t even have one complimentary dish liquid. The only positive thing is the location.
