Centrepoint Motel

Stayed in the Lismore CBD at the Centrepoint. My motel room was clean and quiet for a central motel. I booked the Executive Queen Motel Room, which has a bit more space and was worth it for a bit longer stay for work in Lismore. Thanks to Trish, who was always helpful during my stay.

Hard to access - try getting through the locked gate or the heavy room door with an old fashioned key and your luggage especially if you’re an older person, poorly lit, the rooms esp the bathroom was very small poky, only half a very small carton of milk in the fridge, microwave is high up and hard to use especially if you have mobility issues, poor reception hours, no text reminders, rude staff. At least it was clean.

If you've ever wanted to sleep in a High School classroom or any other government run institution then this is the hotel for you. They were definitely going for the low security correctional centre vibe with the bare floors and clanging iron gates. Whom ever put comfort in the name had a keen sense of irony. I struggle showering each day with my husband's body hair in the shower without having to do so with those of a complete stranger. The bathroom cleanliness really needs work. Otherwise it's a good central location and a good cafe next door. So if all you want is literally a bed then go for it.
