This place is in a great location. It was also a great value but that is where it stops. We stayed in room 14. This room is not for tall people. The beds were very uncomfortable. I was allowed to use the shared shower. When I saw the mold on the ceiling I decided to use the one we paid for in room 14 even though the ceiling was low. They have foxtel which is great but good luck getting TV time. My wife took a fall on the back.deck due to the light being off. Cristina was quick to respond to our text but we never made the effort to talk to us in person in order to see if she was okay. In the end we ended up leaving a night early because we could not sleep there another night. This is what it takes to get me to spend an extra $169 to stay at another place. This place is probably great for young people who can sleep anywhere but it is certainly not for families. We would not stay there again and would likely pay that little but extra to not have towels that look like rags, uncomfortable beds and mold on the ceiling. I read a review stating this place got better. Nope.it has not.

The front desk was closed at 5 pm when I came to check in. No one answered the doorbell or my calls. Had to wait outside for 15 minutes. Not a good start. Beds are worn out, and space is cramped. But, it’s clean, the location is excellent, and you can’t beat the price.

To be honest, I read the previous reviews about this place and was very concerned about my choice of accommodation for my Sydney trip. However Vic the owner was very communicative and kind enough to reassure me all the previous complaints about this place were about matters that occurred in the past. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly Cristina who is the manager. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the ensuite bathroom. Other people staying here were also very friendly and always said hello to us. They were also respectful of the house rules and always cleaned up after themselves and kept noise to a minimum. This place also has a nice outdoor area with a BBQ for guests to use and enjoy. It is also close to the bus stops (literally diagonally opposite) so you can take the very frequent buses to Manly Wharf or Warringah Mall in the opposite direction for Westfield shopping. Driving around in your own vehicle is also not a problem in the area. Or if you wanted to you could walk to the Wharf or Manly Beach from here. All in all I would definitely stay here again.
