Ibis Sydney Thornleigh

The ibis Thornleigh is a hotel that caters for Centrelink recipients that have no home. It also caters for sex prostitutes. There are about 125 rooms and the Ibis Thornleigh and at any given time there are about 20 sex prostitutes on various levels. I have noticed that there is an arrangement with management that a security guard is present to protect the sec workers. The ibis Thornleigh is a hotel, not a brothel. The general manager of the Ibis Thornleigh, Patrick takes a cut from the sex workers income. He is charging a flat rate of 10% of all earning. To be honest Patrick has become more of a protection carer to sex workers than being a responsible general manager. Shame on you Patrick. You have young female employees working at the Ibis hotel in Thornleigh. You should be setting a good example

Luckily I was only staying here one night. Myself and a friend checked in then headed straight out to a meeting. We returned late otherwise I would have addressed these issues with staff. The room was very noticeable NOT CLEANED. I went to have a shower only to see the previous persons used soap packet. Then saw the hair, dirt and grime in the base of the shower. Then the toilet. YUK obvious signs of an uncleaned toilet. Luckily the bed was clean. That was about it. Dusty dirty stained. Even the ironing board was unusable. Torn cover. Now I understand it’s a budget hotel. I do expect a clean shower and toilet. Luckily I had sanitiser on hand to give a wipe over to get me through until an early check out. Absolutely disgusting. I did email the hotel yo no response.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism. My room (202) was flooded during building cleaning because the hotel forgot to notify me to clear the window area. My expensive electronics were severely water-damaged. ​It’s been nearly two weeks since I filed a claim, and I haven't heard a single word from the manager. They are ignoring their liability under Australian Consumer Law. ​A hotel that doesn't care about its guests' property or even reply to urgent emails is not worth your money. Look elsewhere!
