Wonderful stay and facilities

Rooms are getting very tired and worn out. Have stayed here twice in past 6 weeks. 2 different rooms. Signs say refurbishment happening on level 7, so hopefully doing all rooms. First visit we were put in a room on South Dowling road and it was extremely noisy. So upon checkout we requested a quiet room of the main road for our next visit in 6 weeks time. Upon that check-in we were told that they were aware we had requested a quiet room off the main road however they were fully booked so couldn't make that happen. Not sure how with 6 weeks notice they couldn't have done that. Surely there are other 1 bed rooms that we could have been put in and someone else in the room we had. Very disappointed when we had a 2 night stay booked this time. This room was even noisier than the first visit as the bedroom was against the front windows. When I had told her we requested a quiet room weeks ago we were told that they could move us for the 2nd night if it too noisy. What an inconvenience that was as we'd have to pack up our stuff and wait for the other room to be cleaned to be able to move there. I noticed upon having a shower there were no face washers anywhere so asked when I walking past reception and was told they don't supply face washers and she could organise more hand towels if I wanted. Crazy!! At check-in time of 3pm the reception area was crazy with people waiting to check-in but truly the slowest check-in I've ever experienced with a obvious lack of staff for what I assume would be a busy time everyday. Only 1 staff member at times and a 2nd one was coming and going. Not saying we would never stay here again but will look at other options elsewhere first.

Location. Right on South Dowling, one of Sydney’s busiest roads, and under the airport flight path, it’s not a tranquil location. If tranquility’s not your thing, the city’s quite accessible. Limited range of restaurants near-by but dozens in Surry Hills, a short bus ride away. Layout. Our apartment comprised a bedroom almost too small for the bed and a large living area on another level, two flights of stairs up. Idiotic arrangement, make sure they don’t give you that setup. Facilities. Once you conquer those stairs, you’ll find a clean, well equipped kitchen, dining table and rock hard divan. If you’re only there to sleep, congratulations, you won’t have to deal with the TV system. It wants to take you to a streaming page except the hotel’s wi-fi is too weak to support it. Ran an internet speed test (14 June, 21.57pm): 0.03 mbps down, 1.4 up. Slow eh? Other. Excellent secure (paid) parking underneath.
