The Grand View Hotel

We went for lunch on Friday 3 rd . We both ordered minestrone soup which was a $19 rip off. It was made with tinned mixed beans and leftover pasta , served with a dinner roll. There were no chunky bits of vegetables and stock powder was probably the soup base. Other menu items were expensive. Eat somewhere else if you are in Wentworth Falls.

I'm a local came last few months twice late 25 beginning 26 3/1 12.30 in late 25 Food was poor. first meal was fish chips. where was the fish?(strange)it was like I was eating a sliver of batter only. i regret not saying something. I did though tell young waitress yesterday. . Yesterday Saturday ordered chicken (dry)and the mash felt it was dry mashed potatoes only . Joke! my friend had the same and agreed . The local area was incredibly busy down the W falls area but the hotel not that busy. tells a story. Like the first time I came in the evening . not that busy. I reckon the Alex hotel would be busy . Food cooked well. Granted only 2 food experiences but poor quality. fish ?strange where was the fish ?

Overall, a simple and nice experience. Beds were stiff but comfortable. Amenities were to be expected. Facilities were clean. Food was price as a typical tourist spot. Service was polite - the receptionist showed us to our room, which was kind. Easy to get to, right off the highway at a set of lights and directly opposite a strip of fantastic cafes. For the most, the noise level was bearable, but obviously louder than normal because you're right on the highway.
