Best Western Wollongong

Awful. Huge, noisy construction site next door - woke to vibrations and banging. This shoulf have been flagged when booking. Beds were not as per booking (2 single beds were made up as a king and no housekeeping available to fix it). The room was dated - peeling paint, scratched, rickety, stained furniture. They advertise they allow dogs, which they do, but there is no amenities for dogs onsite. We had to walk 2 blocks away to find grass for toileting (in the middle of winter, in the middle of the night, past homeless and drunk people thanks to the pubs and train station nearby).

Very large well equiped room with seperate lounge, kitchen and ensuite at very reasonable price. Although the building is starting to show a bit of age, it is very clean, comfortable and great location. HOWEVER. At the time we stayed (April 26) there was construction going on downstairs and next door, and our room (on 5th floor) was still a bit noisy during the day, although very warm and quiet at night

I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. The suite is spacious and nice, but housekeeping only comes every two days for cleaning. Also, due to construction in the building next door, there is extremely loud noise, making it impossible to rest.
