Lasseters while our father was critically ill in hospital, so this was not a holiday—it was a very difficult time for our family. The only real positive was the convenient location close to the hospital. Unfortunately, almost everything else was disappointing. Our first room was freezing. Instead of moving us, we were initially offered a portable heater. We only received another room after repeatedly asking. The food was well below expectations. We ordered the rump steak, which arrived undercooked and cold. We sent it back, but the replacement was just as disappointing—tough, chewy and not enjoyable to eat, so I gave up on the meal. When we extended our stay, we were told we would keep the same room rate. However, when it came time to pay, we were quoted a significantly higher price, despite what we had been told. That was extremely frustrating. On our final day, we were having lunch while the AFL was already on TV and being watched by several patrons. A staff member changed the channel at the request of one customer without considering everyone else. When I politely raised the issue, I found the staff dismissive and rude. Overall, this experience added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time for our family. Based on our experience, I would not stay here again. We stayed here to support our critically ill father in hospital, but the poor service and overall experience made an already stressful time even harder.

Outstanding! This experience was nothing short of exceptional. On a five-day business trip with a colleague and we were treated like family. Courtesy and service are expected but everyone went the extra mile, and it occurred naturally. The room staff greet you in the hallways and pleasantly offer assistance. Ana the front office manager is amazing, and her staff are a credit to her leadership and friendliness. Her welcome was outstanding and everyday she would enquire politely and genuinely about the quality of our stay. This was my second stay, and I shall continue to return. Thank you all for such a pleasant and accommodating experience.

We stayed here for 7 nights as our partners were playing sport. The other 2 spouses came to do tourism. We had both booked packages that included breakfast and a Premium room. We were put next to each other on the top floor of Block 5 which was a good place to be. The top floor rooms have high ceilings and we liked the Aboriginal art in our comfy rooms. They gave us biscuits and hot chocolates in the room which were great. My deal also included a bottle of wine and a $100 restaurant credit (Qantas hotels). The rooms were cleaned well and were mostly quiet, although the car park can get a little noisy early mornings if the hotel is busy with people leaving early. The pool is good for a swim and the hot tub was mostly hot enough. We had stayed at the nearby DoubleTree 2 years ago and would say the CP is much better value overall as you are getting a nicer overall hotel with better facilities. The staff were mostly lovely with the exception of the grumpy older concierge type bloke - he was quite unpleasant to his colleagues.
