My Wife and I were in Alice Springs over a weekend and stayed at the Desert Palms Motel. It is opposite Todd River ad next door to the Hilton . The property comprises individual units with a small balcony in front. The rooms are basic but comfortable comprising a comfortable queen size bed, and a kitchenette. TV and wifi are also provided. The bathroom is basic but adequate. Good hotwater. There is a pool at the front. There is plenty of parking. At the rear of the property is a gate that leads to the Golf Club. The office is manned from 6am -8pm. Very friendly and helpful. In terms of position town centre is about 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. In all we had a great stay and would book again as the price is very reasonable . There is a also a laundry at the site. Only 2 criticisms - the toilet paper is 1 ply and tissues are not supplied.

The Desert Palms is indeed a ghastly hotel, quite run-down and The rooms have been treated with terrible disinfectant spray. We asked at the reception if there was the possibility of upgrading But since all cabins are equally furnished, there was no such thing. So we checked out again right away. Fortunately, we were able to stay at the Doubletree Hilton a very nice room get, priced even below the Desert Palms. The photos on the Internet are very different from reality.

Family comes first. Family rooms are a treat. Enough room for mum, dad and kids. Then another room for Nana and Pop and grandkids too. Always a pleasure staying at Desert Palms Resort. Easy to book, fabulous rooms and gorgeous pool area. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. Thank you team xx
