I'll comment on two things in my review: Emu Walk Apartments themselves, and the overall experience of the Ayers Rock Resort.
Emu Walk Apartments were great. Check-in was easy, the staff was friendly and helpful. We found our room to be clean and spacious. No complaints.
We probably didn't research enough, but overall we were taken aback by just how EXPENSIVE a trip to Uluru is, as well as how tightly controlled all the times and tours are. We'd booked a couple of things in advance thinking we could add more experiences to our plan when we arrived. Don't do this... things sell out. And everything is absurdly expensive. Luckily we were only there two nights and are able to afford the attitude of "well, we're only here once," but still. They have you captive at the resort and all the restaurants are expensive for what they are (though we did enjoy all our meals). We were even surprised that after purchasing national park passes you can't just go explore the park. You pretty much then need to book an expensive tour, or buy tickets for the slightly less expensive hop-on, hop-off bus, which then runs on a very tight and specific schedule. We've spent a lot of time in national parks in the United States and Canada and those experiences have all felt a lot more accessible than this did.
Net, visiting here is likely a once in a lifetime event, and it's amazing, but be prepared to be gouged.

The apartments could use a refresh. But they are comfortable, spacious, and clean. The heating is not effective. It is very hot upstairs and cold downstairs. The terrace has the merit of existing but is neither pleasant nor functional.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. The accommodations were just average especially considering the five star price you pay to stay. Further, the bathroom was filthy and the curtains throughout were stained.
Uluru is a great place and definitely something you should see. The resort itself is very self contained and there are no taxis or Uber so you are at the mercy of booking tours or doing the hop on hop off so keep that in mind and be sure to book in advance because they do sell out. That said, the hike around Uluru was magical and the Field of Lights are unlike anything else we have seen. The drone show was also very cool.
