Binna Burra Mountain Lodge

I had a comfortable stay in my tiny wild house. It was clean. It had a double bed, a kitchenette with glasses, bowls, plates, cups, a toaster, a kettle, sauce pan, frying pan, stove, microwave, coffee machine and free coffee, milk, tea, hot chocolate powder, sugar and artificial sweetener. There was detergent for dishes. The bathroom had hand wash, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and toilet paper. It had a hand towel, a bath mat and towels. The tiny wild house was heated. The staff took my suitcase down to my tiny wild house which was lucky because I couldn't have got it down there. Kids aren't allowed in the tiny wild houses because they are on the edge of a cliff. I had a magnificent view of the Ship Stern Range and the Numinbah Valley. The sunset was stunning. The only improvement that could have been made is a courtesy bus from the walking track to your accommodation. The road is so steep that I took an hour and a half to walk 2km. You will need a car to pick you up at the track. You will also need a car to get here because no public transport or taxis come here. I was given a ride by Happy Transfers. Rob, the driver is lovely. He put my suitcase into the car and he unloaded upon arrival and he took it into reception. Ph.0431899454.

The Sky Lodge had a great view overlooking the bush and glimpses of the Gold Coast. The room was cozy and modern, but in a style that suited the bush location. It was great to have multiple bushwalks a short walk from the lodge. The Teahouse was a good place to eat between walks and convenient to order in dinner when we didn’t want to self cater. The weather was mixed which impacted our stay a bit, but not the lodge’s fault.

Stayed in the new Tiny Houses for the weekend & what a fantastic location & views of the valley. It was so quiet & peaceful adult only. The bbq & fire pit was excellent & again views spectacular. The units are small & compact, but so clean & all amenities including your own balcony. Fully fitted kitchen & everything catered for. We ordered the room service dinner & so yum!
