Careful what you touch, walk on or lie on. Stayed there for one night, and discovered too late that the toilet had a massive smear of baked on excrement on the outside front of the rim. Right where a male would normally reach down to lift the lid when performing a stand up procedure. Inside the bowl wasn’t overly clean either, but it was the smear on the outside front that churned my stomach. It made me question how clean the other parts of my room were. The kettle I had boiled water in, the spoon and bowl I used for breakfast, what I have walked through in bare feet after showering. Struggled not to think of it when brushing my teeth standing next to it at the bathroom sink. Totally unhygienic and unacceptable. Second to that, there were no accessible mains power points available in the room. There was one fully occupied by the TV and Foxtel box, and another right behind the bed fully occupied by the two bedside lamps. I had to sit my laptop and phone on the microwave in the kitchen over night to be able to charge them. Hotel not at all interested in the awful experience I had. I think a public toilet in a busy train station is likely to be cleaner than Gabba Central Apartments.

Fabulous location, loved our stay. The Brisbane cross river train is just across the road and this allowed us to get everywhere we wanted with ease. Rooms clean. Staff friendly. Of course the Gabba is right there too!
