Oakwood Hotel and Apartments Brisbane

Apart from the great location and staggering distance to Fellons this hotel is not your ideal getaway for a romantic night away. Upon our return from our afternoon drinking at fellons we decided to have some 'special time' in our king size bed. Little did we know that the bed was 2 singles NOT zipped together and had no breaks attached. Let's just say after a few minutes the bed was half way across the room and my partner was on the floor, stuck between the top of the bed and wall with his legs over his head.. butt exposed and not being able to move. Who knew he was so flexible 🤣. Let's just say we have never laughed so hard and our romantic rendezvous was over quite quickly. We then hopped into the black mouldy shower to get ready for our night out and on our return we were looking forward to our sleep for the night. The air conditioner decided it would turn on and off every 30 minutes whilst sounding like a freight train. WTF?! Let's just say I got absolutely NO sleep and will not be returning.

They were so accommodating and amenable to additional requests. The reception is on call 24/7. The receptionist was so nice. The room was really nice and the view was beyond expectation. You can see the story bridge and south bank.

The hotel room that we booked was the 'best in the building' according to staff. $395 per night. Room was dirty, dated and disappointing. Location was great if you are heading to the Valley. Easy walk. View of the bridge was great. Stains on the furniture and generally unclean. Disappointing.
