The location of this hotel is great, opposite Central Station, as well as in walking distance of cafes, restaurants and other city transport. We were there for 3 days and couldn't fault this.
Whilst the room itself was comfortable enough, we had issues with the A/C where the dial control did not seem to change the temperature during the day, so we had to turn it on and off to try to get a temperature where we weren't cold.
We were also disappointed by the inroom tea/coffee provisions. Very limited selection and two tiny sachets of sugar a day for two people? Far too miserly for this standard of hotel! I know we could ask staff for extra suppiies, but it shouldn't be necessary.

This hotel is in a great location and the staff were all generally friendly and helpful. The public areas of the hotel were clean and fresh looking. However, our room (a one bedroom apartment) was not of the standard we would expect for a hotel of this rating and price. The bathroom was grimy and mouldy and the shower was terrible. It was an “in bath” shower which is not necessarily a problem but there was no proper screen or shower curtain and water went everywhere. Also, the shower itself was poor in terms of the water flow. The kitchen area was fine in terms of equipment and lay out but the drawers and some of the utensils therein weren’t clean. One of the reasons for booking the apartment was to get a washer drier however the drier function didn’t work properly, in fact not at all really so we had clothes hanging all over the place. The bed was comfortable enough but the duvet we had was stained. Finally, the AC control didn’t seem to work as adjusting the temperature control in either direction (it was a dial) made no difference. Luckily the room temperature as it was set felt ok. Overall, quite a disappointing experience and I’m sad to say I wouldn’t stay here again and would not recommend.

beautiful historical building, that was once a bank. fantastic location, across the road from central train station in the central business district, with numerous eating options within walking distance, a pub across the road and next door to a supermarket. The rooms have separate bedroom, with full-size kitchen, bathroom with washer/dryer and comfortable loungeroom, with wall mounted flat screen televisions in the bedroom & lounge.
the service at reception was excellent, with a concern for guest experience and comfort.
the bed was super comfortable & my only negative comment was the pillows were too high. the linen was crisp, clean & luxurious.
in the bathroom, i really liked the deluxe toiletries. the linens were great quality however i wasnt impressed with the small sized bath towels. i really hated the high step up into the shower/bath tub - it was really dangerous with no grab rails & a lack of shower curtain or screen to keep water from splashing out onto the bathroom floor. mixed together, it was a precarious feat to survive.
i slept quite well, found the room quiet & comfortable with the air conditioning. the huge window overlooking the street had block out curtains & i couldn't hear the traffic.
