Lot of loude construction noise from 6.30 in the morning till 17.30, Would stay well away from Albert avenue

Good location and staff however pictures are nothing like the real thing. It would have been a nice place in 1986 when it was built, not 2026 …. Much better options for the same price It’s not even staffed regularly and you have to hand your Old towels in to get new ones yourself lol I can’t believe it actually got 4 star

Firstly this hotel is in a really fantastic location, close to everything you need on a beach holiday. Walking distance to many things & the tram is a block away if you’re after transport. The view we had made up for a lot of the downsides luckily. Check in was pleasant & the staff are very friendly & welcoming. The indoor pools are fabulous and have clearly had a recent update, we were very impressed The actual accommodation is of a pretty basic standard in my opinion - you’re definitely paying for the location. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was neat enough but definitely not in its prime. Not super clean but tidy. The linens (bedding/towels) are of a budget standard. Definitely not premium, if you want to exchange your towels for fresh ones during your stay you must take them to reception to swap them out. You will find a couple of rolls of toilet paper & some dishwasher powder & detergent sachets for your convenience, but once they’re used, replenishing any supplies is up to you. Housekeeping services are not provided. There’s a list of rules on the fridge about cleaning your apartment prior to departure or you’ll be charged a cleaning fee. It gives Air B&B vibes, which wasn’t what we were expecting. No issues with us leaving it clean whatsoever, but just not the atmosphere we expecting. When we went to use the vacuum cleaner it was in a very poor state & the filter was gross and dirty. My husband washed it as I couldn’t stomach the sight of it. The kettle looked like it needed to be sanitised or replaced so we went to the local shops and purchased our own to use for our stay. The lifts are an exercise in patience. They just don’t cope with the amount of floors & guests, it’s incredibly frustrating & wastes a lot of time. Such a major drawback & will mean the difference of us choosing alternative accommodation in future. They’re so outdated and with so much choice in Broadbeach, it’s just unnecessary to put yourself through it!
