Holiday house $9000 for 10 days OK but things wrong Fridge didn't work they did replace it promptly after asking if we needed one! Plastic plates with some china ones, cook top burner didn't stay on couldn't use it mold in bathroom showerhead broke off in my hand ants everywhere byfold door's didn't close properly and if you wanted somore dishwasher tablets only supplied 5 for 10 days !! 2 sachets of dishwasher liquid 2 washing powder go buy your own was what I was told ! You get better service in a caravan park apartment It was expensive but a beautiful place but will not go back

We stayed at Element Hill on the island and were all very excited to stay given the pictures and potential of the property. Below is a list of all the items that we found were at fault or not fixed once we had left our week long stay. A large proportion of these items were faulty on the day we arrived at the property but it should be noted that some of the items were also impacted due to the weather. There are items not listed that had been fixed or corrected during our stay. These details were communicated with the Hamilton Island Holiday Homes team but we have had no response, as such, it should be known by all looking to book this accomodation, or buy it given it is up for sale that these issues existed recently: - Kitchen bathroom light sensor - parts apparently ordered but not fixed - Stove extractor lights not working - requires parts and dismantle to fix - Ice machine noise - compressor fan (?) making noise. Needs new part or -replacement - Master bedroom balcony door leaking - Master bedroom AC not working - Middle downstairs bedroom ceiling leaking - Eastern facing window panes in master bedroom and bathroom leaking (big picture windows) - Blinds in bedrooms creep down/don't hold position/ crumple on floor - Fire pit doesn’t work/no instructions for operation - Middle downstairs bathroom fan and light not working (seem light is working now..?) - Second from right washing machine not operating properly (not heating - error 75) - Aircon/water taps all require cleaning/error messaging - Kitchen - Breville toaster Right hand side popping early - Laundry eastern windows leaking causing water to pond on counter top - Kitchen pool window leaking (far left looking at the pool) - Outdoor bbq area metal topper for posts came off during Cyclone Koji (metal topper is in the cupboard under outdoor sink) - Sunbed balcony post nearest to pool metal topper blown off (metal topper located with Sun lounger umbrellas) -GPO on kitchen bench side by fridge switches difficult to operate/seems to be faulty - Sunbed broken - Vacuum cleaner broken. Stopped working during our stay. - A lack of any formal welcome pack including items such as basic cleaning materials, bin liners and laundry detergent (at this property rate, that is a small cost which is a somewhat expected gesture) - Numerous pool stains A real shame as the property is quite beautiful, its just been poorly maintained and clearly the Hamilton Island Holiday Homes team dont care much for the details to fix things or ensure that high end homes are correctly reviewed when guests leave the property.

Amazing accommodation!! We have been here 3 times in different homes each time and always found them exactly as advertised, clean and beautiful. A must have is to rent a place with a buggy included. This time I needed to phone staff for a small issue ( with garage door) and they responded immediately, were available after hours and so helpful. If you are staying on the island, go with a HI holiday home not air bnb.
