Stayed only for 1 night and next time will stay for more. I couldn't fault it. The host, Paul, really does everything to ensure you enjoy your stay. The house itself is beautiful and accommodation is really well laid out. The views are amazing, it is very peaceful with lots of beautiful birds. The location is great. The Doonan Pub is only about a 5 min drive and is well worth visiting. Paul is also a very good cook and my breakfast was delicious. Very special part of the world.

After four days on Fraser Island, the Alexandria Retreat was the perfect stay! Quiet, elegant and a view... it doesn't get any better! Conveniently located to restaurants too. Do yourself a favor and book the Alexandria Retreat. You won't be disappointed.

This was a surprise birthday getaway and well and truely exceeded expectations. Brief was somewhere relaxing, away from the chaos of summer tourists. We arrived up the driveway to a gorgeous expansive home with AMAZING views of the valley extending out to the ocean. Separate accommodation meant we felt very private and was gorgeous with lots of lovely little extras. Lovely pool, areas to sit and enjoy the view, well located and Paul was such a lovely host (there to help if needed and not when you didn’t). Breakfast the next day was out of this world! If I had known I wouldn’t have eaten the night before! Fresh fruit, juices (also cereal and toast options) great coffee and then the cooked breakfast - no words except no need for a meal for the rest of the day! Will definitely be back, hopefully many times!!!
