Alassio On The Beach Resort

Accommodation was spacious for us as a family of 5, it had a great location. I would just say the place as a whole feels/looks very tired. Rooms are perfectly clean, just dated. The pool area was maintained a little more at the back end of our stay. The spa/hot tub had rough edges due to missing tiles. The pool for a number of days had loose tiles placed on the edge of the pool (I can only assume a guest found these in the pool and made a pile of them on the side), they were cleared away after a couple of days. It to me felt more like an Air BnB, staff reception hours are fairly short and they were various notices that if you called the emergency number you would be fined. Totally understand that they want to avoid staff being called out - just could be worded a little better and make guests feel a little more welcome. Overall, great location, accommodation is clean and the one time I did go to reception I found them friendly. Just be warned in general about Palm Cove - you can’t get a drink or food much after 9/9.30pm.

Unfortunately such a bitter disappointment that we spontaneously booked another hotel. Clearly not a 4-star hotel in our eyes. Rooms are worn out and ussy. Pool dirty. Reception only until 5pm. And the worst fan mounted next to the bed and air conditioning does not work properly. It's always hot in the room. I can't do it. No recommendation from us.

Excellent value. Clean hotel, 50 meters from beach. All is excellent. Not a luxury hotel, but perfect for us. Spent 6-7 nights. Perfectly located. Ocean view. Clen, reasonable. I would come back tomorrow!
