Ramada Resort Golden Beach

Great place Close to the beach Friendly staff We were to find parking The sea view from our room was amazing We appreciated our sheets being changed. As we stayed 7 nights Onsite restaurant was great Spa should be for adults not children is my negative

First off I want to say how great the staff both on the front desk and in housekeeping were while they tried to help with our issue. They were all fantastic and were really trying to help. Our issue was an incredibly overwhelming smell in the room which we assume was some kind of cleaning agent. We smelled it as soon as we walked in and in retrospect we should have said something straight away. We just assumed it would dissipate over the rest of the day. Instead it actually intensified to the point that we could no longer sleep in the room it was so bad. We actually had to drag the mattress out onto the balcony to try to get some sleep but neither of us got much sleep that night. (I had gone down to the front desk to see if we could be moved to another room but they were unfortunately closed). Next morning we went to the front desk, told the person there about it and she straight away got housekeeping to put an ozone machine into the room. Once we returned from breakfast the smell was noticeably better. However, after we returned to the room later that evening it was just as bad again unfortunately, and we ended up spending another sleepless night on the balcony. Jacob on the front desk was amazing and really tried to help by moving us to another room but it was actually worse. Neither of us have ever had this kind of reaction to a hotel room before, and the lovely housekeeper who put the ozone machine in also remarked how strong the smell was. On top of all this, it's a really old, tired and rundown hotel. I've stayed in nicer motels. It really needs a proper renovation. I'm honestly surprised at the number of 4 and 5 star reviews haha. Probably one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. Again, staff were great but we won't be back.

My husband & I spent 2 nights at this lovely & very comfortable hotel. Wonderful, friendly & very helpful Sela greeted us at the front desk, got us checked in with helpful information & friendly conversation & was a pleasure to see whenever we entered the lobby after being out. After we were checked in we were sent to a table where a lovely, young lady was serving free drinks to guests; which was a great way to welcome us. We then went to our lovely, king suite overlooking the beach & were thrilled to have everything we needed plus more. We had a large balcony where we were able to relax after a long day & enjoy the views with a drink. We found this hotel close to everything we needed & it was also quick & easy walking distance to restaurants in the area. There is a great pool as well, but never got to enjoy it with limited time.
