Mandalay And Shalimar Apartments

We recently enjoyed 4 nights at Mandalay Port Douglas. We were in unit 10 on the ground floor which has been beautifully renovated and we had the most wonderful stay. Ruby at reception was so friendly and helpful. Late check in was super smooth and hassle free. The grounds are well kept and the location is fantastic with the beach over the road and the patrolled beach cafes and shops a short stroll away. Unit 10 had everything we needed. The kitchen is well-equipped, furniture comfortable and it has a very relaxing, calming feel to it. The resort was fairly quiet throughout our stay. Plenty of parking underground. We will definitely return and request Unit 10. I highly recommend!!

A really good experience. The apartments are scrupulously clean and very well equipped. Perhaps 200m via a boardwalk to Four Mile beach. Port Douglas is quite small, so we were able to walk to all our dinner and other activities with ease. Only down is that the bathroom is a bit dated. Has an 80’s feel with a huge whirlpool bath (no plug available). But the bed was very comfortable, and the apartment vast. If I go back to Port Douglas I shall stay here.

the location is excellent, facing the beach. the apartments are well equipped and comfortable, although renovation is lacking. They're not as seen in the pictures. also impeccable cleanliness, amenities could be renewed a bit but everything works perfect and is very organized
