Seascape Holiday-Tropical Reef Apartment

I am extremely disappointed with our stay at the Tropical Reef.... And I am all the more disappointed and angry because I just read a review written in 2023 regarding the same apartment we had for 3 nights, which describes the same worthlessness of this apartment. First of all, it should be noted that in terms of welcome/reception, you have to go to another address... but actually, there is no need to see anyone because we enter the apartment with a code. I called twice to ask about the process for a late arrival; the gentleman I spoke to on the phone gave me a code... but I asked him to email me at my personal address (not the travel agency's), he couldn't be bothered and never wrote to me... I had a doubt, so I called a third time... then a lady provided me with another code and finally sent me the process by email. Very laborious. Their reception opening hours are not clear; they are set to excursion schedules. Apartment 11... what can I say about it...? What a disappointment. We have 3 bedrooms, sleeping arrangements for 6, and yet it is impossible for 4 people to sit at the table! The table is pushed against the wall. One side is blocked off. There is no ergonomics in this oppressive and cramped apartment. The furniture is outdated and unsuitable. The furniture and decor are stuck in the 90s... with horrible paintings, a clock that no longer works... and kitchen cabinets whose doors stick when you try to open them. No coffee maker, just a kettle. The downstairs bedrooms are clean. The upstairs bedroom is cramped; it is impossible to walk around the bed because it is so small and tight, and I only have one meter to go to get into the bathroom... why is there a. Fridge in that room??? The terrace is interesting but ultimately useless; we are not going to carry the dishes and cutlery up there to eat. All the curtains are dust magnets. The bathrooms are also old-fashioned and outdated. They flood at the slightest shower. Very unpleasant. No space to put toiletry bags. In this apartment that has potential, nothing works. The layout needs to be reviewed, the decor, the ergonomics... it's not appealing. Plus there are holes, worn and peeling paint... please, the owner needs to invest in their property... otherwise it will remain a tourist trap. There are plenty of other establishments nearby... keep moving. The photos provided on the site absolutely do not correspond to what we got... for us, it is misleading. We expected a lot from the very promising look of them... and it fell flat like a soufflé...

The building is large, but the entrance is quite discreet and difficult to spot when arriving for the first time. The apartment is rather small to accommodate up to six people. The layout could be optimized: the table, due to its location, does not allow six people to eat together inside. If the apartment is occupied at full capacity, some will have to eat upstairs, which requires carrying dishes and cutlery up the stairs and going through the master bedroom, which is not very practical. The kitchen equipment is decent and the dishes are provided in sufficient quantity, which is appreciated. On the other hand, one of the closets is locked without explanation. The furniture is old, damaged, and the entire apartment deserves to be modernized. The most disappointing point remains the cleanliness. There was dust everywhere, both on the ground floor and upstairs. After only a few minutes of walking barefoot, our feet were black. The kitchen cabinets were also difficult to open because of a layer of grease stuck to the handles and doors, giving the impression that they had not been cleaned for a long time. The bathroom also needs to be reviewed. The shower door does not seal water well, and after every shower, a large amount of water flows onto the floor. The bathroom quickly ends up flooded, which is unpleasant and impractical. The welcome also needs to be improved. There is no real reception, and the check-in and check-out times are impractical, since they are between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., times when most travelers are generally out sightseeing or busy. Finally, the parking is difficult to access. The driveway is very narrow, to the point that two cars cannot pass each other. The posts between the spaces make maneuvering difficult, and you often have to try several times to park. Overall, despite some positive points like the well-stocked dishes, the experience is tarnished by the lack of cleanliness, the aging state of the apartment, its impractical layout, the bathroom problems, and a welcome that could be improved.

Misleading advertising and extremely disappointing experience The photos published on TripAdvisor, highlighting renovated and modern apartments, had convinced us to choose this establishment rather than another hotel residence located nearby. Unfortunately, the disappointment was immense upon our arrival. We discovered an apartment stuck in the 1990s, poorly maintained, stuffy, and particularly uncomfortable. The doors rub and are difficult to close or close too much, traces of torn-off stickers are visible almost everywhere on the French doors, the screens are dirty, and the furniture, poorly arranged, clutters the walkways to the point that you constantly bump into it, including the nightstands that overflow onto the bed for lack of space. No outlet to charge your equipment in the master bedroom, which is the height of absurdity. Another example: Wrinkled outdoor sofa still showing traces of the last tenant. The general layout lacks coherence, ergonomics, and functionality. The most striking example concerns access to the bathroom located upstairs: you have to squeeze through a passage of barely 10 to 15 cm between the bed and the wall. A configuration that respects neither the basic rules of comfort and safety, nor the needs of people with reduced mobility or those experiencing difficulty moving around. It is difficult to understand how a property in such a state can still be offered for rent. A complete renovation as well as a complete replacement of the furniture seem essential in order to meet the minimum standards of 2026. Otherwise, it would be more honest to remove this apartment from the rental market rather than presenting it as accommodation corresponding to the standards expected today. Regarding parking, it is better to avoid large vehicles. The spaces are so cramped that you have to show real prowess to manage to park. Added to this are serious organizational problems. The reception is located at another address, which is difficult to find, and the information provided during our phone calls before our arrival was contradictory depending on who we spoke to (between key box and pad). Even more surprising, the staff did not even seem to know our stay dates. The particularly restricted opening hours considerably complicate check-in and check-out formalities, to the point of disrupting the organization of our activities planned during the stay. Forced to leave before opening hours, it seems that this reception did not even pay attention to our departure. A shameful service… In summary, this is an establishment that I strongly advise against. This experience is undoubtedly among the 3 worst we have had in the last 10 years of traveling. A sad podium that we would have gladly done without. A few photos posted online to get an update on reality.
