Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort And Spa

This was my first time staying in a Marriot and it exceeded my expectations. From the minute you arrive the customer service is 10/10. The entrance lobby staff, the welcome drink. My daughter was celebrating her birthday and we were gifted complimentary kids breakfasts for the duration of our stay. The hotel also sent a lovely box of chocolates and card on arrival. The rooms itself was luxe, with a renovated high quality fit out. The storage space was fantastic. The bathroom had a great soaking tub with gorgeous amenities, including bath salts and aromatherapy products within the bathroom. I utilised both the gym and spa during the stay and had a great experience at both. The pool areas are fantastic for family's, with a hot jacuzzi as well if you don't want to swim in Winter. We ordered in a number of times and the food was very good. The linguini with prawns stood out. The Buffet breakfast was fantastic. This is the first hotel buffet I have encountered where you can make your own fresh juice. The pastries were very good, so much so that my daughter was craving the Banana bread that wasn't available on the buffet that day. After enquiring with one of the chef’s, they promptly brought out a full plate for us to enjoy. We had to call housekeeping a couple of times and each time, our request was dealt with so promptly. I also really appreciated that if you have the do not disturb on your room, they will not enter or knock unless they verify with your first that it is OK to enter. The only recommendation I have is the selection of tea in the room was not at the same level as the buffet breakfast. It would have been nice to see more tea variety within the room. I also would say that the balcony door in the double room that we had was not aesthetically pleasing compared to the luxe fit out of the room. The chain on the door cheapened the room visually. Also because its so high up I didn't feel that comfortable sitting on the small balcony as I have a fear of heights. I also found the keycard in the lifts hard to navigate at times. If you are staying to visit the theme parks, I would recommend at least one full day where you get to enjoy the amenities the hotel has to offer. Overall, a fantastic stay with staff who go above and beyond to deliver an enjoyable guest experience.

We had a wonderfully enjoyable stay and will definitely be back! The service throughout our trip was outstanding. Ms. Jamie gave us a lovely, warm check-in experience, and Letitia was absolute magic—she was beyond amazing in helping us organize everything for our stay. The Room & Amenities: We stayed in a Junior Suite, and it was fantastic—spacious, beautifully appointed, and offering spectacular views. The pool area is absolutely amazing and easily one of the best highlights of the resort. Dining Experience: Japanese Restaurant: Very fun experience! The quality dynamic seems to depend a bit on which chef you get; ours was a little less enthusiastic, but overall we still had a good time. Seafood Buffet: Delightful quality, though the selection could use a bit more variety to fully justify the price tag. That said, it’s definitely worth trying at least once! Location: Takes about 10 mins to the Sea world area and the fun "downtown shopping area where all the malls are" need to Uber or have a car. In general, top-tier service and fantastic amenities. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable—we can't wait for our next visit!
