I had looked forward to my one night stay but the experience was disappointing. I rang the motel directly to make my booking and asked if they had a room with both a view of the golf course and a bath. I wanted a bath because I don't have one at home and thought it would be just the thing after a stressful day at Toowoomba Hospital. I was told yes they could do this for me and said I was booked in to a King Spa, However upon arrival and entering the room found it was not the King Spa but an Executive King + Single with a view but no bath/spa. I went back to reception to point out the error and whilst the receptionist was apologetic, by this stage there was not a King Spa available so I had no choice but to take the room (at least it had a great view) as it was too late in the day to try and find what I wanted at another establishment. The room itself was a bit tired and the fridge rattled until I put a piece of paper under it to stop the rattling. Not quite the luxurious experience described on the website.

Always stay here when I'm on business in Toowoomba. The rooms are a great size. The bathrooms have been updated. I stay in the deluxe or king with a single view. There is a courtesy bus to the golf club for meals. The motel is very conveniently located, and there are plenty of eating establishments in close proximity. Some walking distance.

The motel portrays itself as a 4.5 star boutique motel. It may be somewhere else but not in the room we stayed in. And at $340 per night was simply an outrageous tariff. I telephoned the motel direct to book our room as my partner has mobility issues and needed a shower he could walk into, not one over a bath. At no time was I advised that the room, a “Corporate Deluxe”, would be substandard, old and not a 4.5 star room. It should have been explained. To say we were shocked at the condition of the room and bathroom was an understatement. It was seriously overdue for a complete renovation. The shower was in such an appalling condition that we would not use it. Every surface in the room was chipped, scratched, marked and seen better days about 20 years ago. The room had no comfortable chairs or sofa. It held two outdoor furniture chairs that were not in the least comfortable b Warm breakfasts can only be obtained by going to the golf club itself. So if you had somewhere to be (in our case a funeral) you had to make do with cold waffles and cold croissants. The order was for two people so there were two mini waffles, two croissants and yes, two tiny pats of butter along with a small container of maple syrup. Such a lack of generosity was breathtaking. The staff were variously pleasant (at check-in) and sometimes difficult. Can management please tell them to at least look like they were in hospitality! A smile goes a long way. Conversely, the cleaning staff were lovely. The provision of complimentary Uber’s to and from the golf club was a lovely and appreciated convenience. My recommendation is to ascertain what type of room delivers the 4.5 star rating and book that. Otherwise stay somewhere else. Completely underwhelming establishment.
