Novotel Twin Waters Resort

After reading so many bad reviews, we nearly cancelled. BUT I'm so glad we didn't. Our room was beautiful, big, clean and had gorgeous art on the wall. We had a garden room that had a little bit of a view of the lagoon. We only stayed one night as we had an event to attend. I wished we could have stayed longer. But I said to the lovely lady at check out, we will definitely come back with our teenage daughters. I can't wait to take the kayaks out on the lagoon. Awesome family resort or if it's not school holidays great for a couples weekend. We are looking forward to planning a holiday soon for the family at Novotel Twin Waters.

After reading some bad reviews I decided to try for myself and I'm glad I did. I'm a Platinum member and was kindly upgraded to a over water bungalow which was truly amazing. All staff incredible and very willing to help even delivering my omelette to my table at breakfast. Such a large, beautiful property with lots of kangaroos. I'll definitely return. Thank you for having me.

I am in an absolute quandary writing this review as this is a great place to stay, After spending 2 weeks in North Queensland at Airlie Beach, the Great Barrier Reef and Hervey Bay staying in everything from 3 star to 5 star destinations with no issues whatsoever, we ended our stay at Novotel Twin Waters in Maroochydore for 2 nights before flying out to Sydney. Here is the quandary. This is an amazing resort, great restaurants, great bars, great swimming pool, free water sports and exceptional staff. The issue however - the beds at this Novotel Hotel are terrible. Why? They have a plastic waterproof sheet sewn into the top of the mattress which is more akin to your $20 a night fly by motel. We did leave a review following our 2 night stay as requested by the hotel and whilst they acknowledged the shortfall in cleanliness and maintenance, the complaint regarding the plastic sheet on the mattress went un-addressed. Maybe they know it is just not right? Loved the place, but loathed their bed.
