MUST GO TO IF YOU ARE ON THE ISLAND. BEST BREAKFAST AND DINNER EVER. GOT TO WATCH THE PROFESIONAL SHEARERS IN ACTION. THE HOSTS WERE FRIENDLY AND A PLEASURE TO TALK WITH. SERVED US SOME VERY GOOD AUSSUE WINES WITH DINNER. ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS WAS THE CRICKET OVAL BUILT ON SITE WHICH I FOUND AMAZING.

Stranraer Homestead is a beautifully restored and kept historic home, and Lyn, the host, is a truly extraordinary chef. Every dish was both delicious and beautifully presented. Very comfortable, interesting and scenic place to stay when visiting Kangaroo Island. Highly recommended!

Residence well cared for down to the smallest detail. Very comfortable. But the real difference is made by the owner who, in addition to welcoming you in a very warm way, is truly an excellent cook. We had a wonderful dinner. Fantastic breakfast. I highly recommend this special place.
