The location is great, perfect for what we needed. The room itself was lovely, a really good size so we could spread out our cases, and had a few extra amenities like a fridge (although noisy!), microwave and kettle. It was a bit difficult trying to drag our cases up the stairs, so I'd suggest requesting a downstairs room if possible, if you're not able to carry things up stairs. The room itself was quite noisy. We could hear traffic from outside through the door, as well as the wind howling through it all night. I don't think the door fits particularly well into the door frame, and that's what causes the noise. There was also a lot of noise from the room below us until quite late, laughing and talking quite loudly (though I understand that it's difficult to control noise from other guests). The shower was terrible! It resembled something you'd use on a camping site! You had to position it upwards to use it, but it would either keep falling down or the water went literally everywhere! We ended up soaking the whole bathroom. I reported this to the reception when we left.

Was in transit for one night here. All very well for a motel.Reception friendly. Car can be parked directly in front of the room. The night was quiet. Bed was comfortable.

The Arkaba Motor Inn is in a great quiet, central location. It was easy to check in and the room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff (new management) were great, very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Arkana Motor Inn for you next visit to Mt Gambier.
