Bad, bad, bad tv doesn't work, and the bed was so old and out dated it was even missing a whole leg. Very very uncomfortable

On arrival, I noticed several rooms with doors wide open. One in particular — directly upstairs and straight ahead as I drove in — was wide open and clearly being “aired out.” At check-in, I was told that this was in fact the room allocated to myself and my 21-year-old son. This immediately raised serious **safety and security concerns**. I had no idea how long the room had been left open, who may have entered, what may have occurred inside prior to our arrival, or whether anyone could still access it. Being told at 7pm that this was our assigned room was unsettling and unacceptable. Earlier in the week when I enquired about the booking, I was told we would have a room with side-by-side twin beds, adequate space, recently refurbished, and with cooking facilities. What we walked into was nothing like that. The photos on the website DO NOT reflect reality. There was one twin bed and one single bed pushed together against a bedhead. Bedding consisted of: * 1 pillow * 1 fitted sheet * An ill-fitting coverlet for the twin bed * What appeared to be either a tablecloth or curtain being used as a flat sheet for the single bed * Ants crawling along the shared headboard There were no spare blankets, pillows, or additional bedding anywhere in the room — not even in the wardrobe where you would normally expect them. The so-called “cooking facilities” for a two-and-a-half-week stay were a microwave, kettle, and minibar. That does not constitute proper cooking facilities. For context, I was staying as a HousingSA guest while my home is being repaired due to toxic damage from a previous occupant. I have since been informed this motel charges approximately $240 per night. At that price, this standard of accommodation is disgraceful. Please save your money and book an Airbnb or another motel for far less. This was not acceptable on any level

Booked two rooms for family. Was allocated two rooms with adjoining door which was great. Definitely did not look as nice as the photos. Unfortunately the rooms were in dire need of a renovation. Older style well worn furniture, no cutlery (one teaspoon) no glasses, walls that need a paint, blocked drain in one bathroom and no hot running water in another bathroom. A kettle with a melted electric cord. No safety view peep holes in door. Even though we were in a quiet part of the hotel, unfortunately the noise from Glen Osmond Road made it difficult to sleep. Staff were very friendly and understanding. Other guests were noisy but that could be that the rooms needed to be soundproofed? Due to the nature of the accommodation we decided to cut our stay short.
