Great location, very steep driveway and stairs to most rooms. We had two rooms both overlooking the park. Both were clean. Room 13 had a good shower but water flooded the bathroom every time I used it, not a little, A LOT. You could see where it had soaked into the carpet as there is no drain. I had to use every towel in the room to mop it up. Air con very strange. Had to put it on power mode and it would run for about 10mins then stop. Bed was really comfy.

The room itself was clean and comfortable. The hotel was very difficult to find and hard to access. I didn't like there being no reception as we had a few problems, one being the milk provided was frozen and had nowhere to get a replacement. Too many stairs.

We were getting in after dark on a Monday and only staying one night, so I didn't want to spend too much on a hotel. This one had a reduced price on Wotif so I grabbed it. I'm pretty happy with it for the price I paid, despite the lack of reception staff (they've remained contactless since COVID but I got an email with check in instructions). First night in a new place I usually like hotel staff on hand to suggest places to eat etc. but we managed on our own. Beds were comfy, the shower was hot and the parking was right outside the door, not a lot of stairs to navigate with our bags. It was what we needed for the night, and it was right across from City Park so the next morning I walked over and saw the monkeys. Only thing I didn't really like is there was some traffic noise from Brisbane Road, but it's not like there's too much and it doesn't start super early in Tasmania. Great option if you're watching pennies.
