Wow.... what an experience staying in such a historic and beautiful hotel.... the pictures online do not do it justice... we were not expecting it to be this nice.... couldn't pick a single fault or issue.... we stayed in 216 and had a balcony overlooking the town... furnishings and finishes were beautiful.... we made use of the on site car park for $10 per day... smart TV with access to all the streaming apps... location couldn't be better... and there's a great happy hour in the bar on weekdays 4-6pm.... we would definitely choose to stay here again.

I have a room with the setting sun coming through the window. The room is VERY warm, tried turning the A/C unit on to find it is showing a service fault. Ring reception to be told that they are aware there are a number of A/C units not working. Ok, so now for me to cool the room down I have to open the window. With what my company has paid, how about getting the damn thing repaired or, better still, advise us in advance so-as we can find a hotel with a working A/C unit and a hotel that actually looks after their clients. Now just in case you need this spelled out for you, yeah, I’m not happy. Considering the number of times I have been to Ballarat and stayed here, I’d have expected much better🤔

Stayed one night and loved the room but was disappointed when I came down for breakfast to find out that a staff member had not turned up so no breakfast today. Seriously? Could someone not get a toaster or some cereal and make coffee. With the Ballarat Marathon weekend in full swing the only accessible option was McDonalds. Very disappointed.
