Eco-luxe @ Mount Avoca

This is our fourth visit to the wonderful off the beaten track accommodation. The setting in the Pyrennes is spectacular, quiet, relaxing and refreshing. A quiet walk each morning to the entrance road, only 2.3 kms, through magnificent gums trees that have a beautiful fragrance, is an away to start the day. The provisions supplies are amongst the best we have encountered here, in Europe or Asia. Divine food and generous supply of their organic wine (ambrosia). We highly recommend this venue for a place to truly wind down or as a base to visit the local wineries.

We booked a 2 night weekend stay here in late January. It was just beautiful. Villa was so well equipped and very clean. The provisions provided were excellent, great quality and very generous! Air conditioning worked well in the heat. The location is lovely, very quiet, great views, lots of birdlife and we watched kangaroos grazing at dusk. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short after the first night; we received a call advising that we were close contacts to a Covid case, so had to return home to test and isolate. We were so disappointed to leave early, but we are definitely retuning to Mount Avoca, hopefully soon!

This is an amazing little gem in the Mount Avoca vineyard. The outlook is truly stunning. The eco- lux units are really well designed, well equipped and the provisions for breakfast are very generous; plenty of fruit, cereals, cheese, crackers etc and a lovely range of loose leaf teas as well as ground coffee and a couple of bottles of excellent wine. It is so relaxing to stay here, lots of bird song, wildlife and walking tracks - you feel like you are in a different world. In fact this is our third stay in six months. COVID might have reduced how far we can travel but we are so grateful in finding peace and tranquillity in this part of Western Victoria. We’ll be back again.
