My stay was for 2 nights 9th & 10th August, in room 608. Very spacious unit, well set out. Very clean, adequate cutlery and crockery. Well stocked tea / coffee facilities. Bed comfortable, choice of several pillows. Problem with the noisy air conditioning. No television in the bedroom. Bathroom had a shower over the bath, but bath floor Very slippery when wet. Needs a shower mat to prevent slipping. Body wash only available over the sink. The shower facilities had 3 containers of which 2 contained shampoo, and 1 with conditioner. No body wash. Even using the shampoo in the shower over the bath made the bath floor even more slippery. Very disappointed that the restaurant was closed for both days of my stay, I e. apparently closed Monday's and Tuesday's all of August. Despite paying an additional $36 for breakfast both days, which could not be reimbursed because it was booked through Expedia, and credit could only be applied as future bookings credit. For Monday and Tuesday's in August, I could request a breakfast box from reception, which included fruit juice, croissant, stale scone with butter and jam, and yoghurt. Staff very attentive. For stays longer than 1 night, you need to request extra cleaning and towels. No safe in unit. All in all, quite reasonable. Will definitely stay there again.

I spent 2 nights at the Mantra Jolimont during the Easter weekend. Althought it is branded as a 4 star establishment, in my view and my extensive travel experience, I would rate it under. Location: Tram station is just a couple of minutes away, and a few minutes more you will find yourself in the mid of CBD. In fact the hotel is located in the city fringe with walking distance to the city centre. Its loated in a quiet leafy street, near a nice big park. Room: my room is a good size with a kitchenette and plates and cooking utensils. There is also a microwave in the room which comes handy. The bathroom is clean but very dated. Service: the front desk and the restaurant staff are very friendly. They acknowldge the membership of Accor. I received very generous welcome gifts as a top tier member. However, during the Easter weekend, guests were advised the housekeeping services were only available upon request. It is certainly not match its 4 star rating. There is a very small gym and a outdoor swimming pool. Verdict: It could have done better and make it a true 4 star hotel.

Great stay at Mantra Jolimont. Perfect location, close to transport and dining. Friendly staff, smooth check-in, and clean, spacious rooms with all needed amenities. Comfortable bed and relaxing atmosphere. Minor issues like low water pressure and slight maintenance needed in common areas, but nothing major. Overall, a great experience and would return.
