I booked this room at the last minute and was surprised at accommodating and lovely the lady on reception was. My room was clean and well presented. The bed was comfy and everything in the room was well appointed. I would recommend Alexander Motor Inn if you need a place to stay, not too far from the city. :)

Visited Alexander motor inn for a night before we flew out for a qld holiday. It was absolutely disgusting. There was hair all through the bathroom, mould everywhere, all the dishes had been used and not washed. The carpet was filthy and made our feet black so we had to wear shoes. There was stains everywhere and food crumbs. The sheets were all stained so we made the kids sleep in their clothes they had on that day. No one wanted to shower because it was dirty. Would not recommend and I am unsure as to how it is still operational. The mould in the bathroom is that bad it should be condemned or professionally sorted.

Such a cool old school motor inn. It's so of the period that when I entered my room and looked around I wanted to see an in-wall air-conditioner and was almost disappointing to see that they'd upgraded to a split system. It's a funky old motor in that has real character.
