Receptionist said she didn't know English. Made it very difficult to book, as she kept saying the wrong dates etc. phoned to confirm booking prior and she couldn't as her boss wasn't there, even though it was paid. Hung up on me when I asked when I could contact the boss to confirm

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, I received a very warm welcome, the hotel is very well located, there are restaurants all around, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, the bathrooms are large and clean and the rooftop terrace with the kitchen is simply TOP, so super good value for money

I stayed in City Centre Budget Hotel Melbourne for a week in March 2026. It was an okay place to stay. Some things that I noticed whilst there: twice the toilet paper in the shared bathrooms ran out; ; the taps in the shared bathrooms were hard to turn off; the WiFi would often drop, or run very slowly; the paint on the ceiling was peeling; the floor in my room was uneven.
