Comfort Inn Mahogany Park

All walls had holes patched, glasses finger printed and shower mould. Didn’t want to stand on carpet or floors in bare feet. Definitely not what we thought we would get for the night for $150 in this area.

Clean but…. 1. Light switch by entry door not working. 2. Lamp in lounge not working. 3 .Power point next to bed not working. 4. No plug for sink in kitchen – how can we wash up? 5. No plug for bathroom basin. 6. No instructions for TV or appliances. 7. Wi-fi didn’t work. 8. Very dated and needs attention.

Dont even think of staying at this motel. It is run down to an alarming degree and the owners dont seem to care. The first room we were given had a tv with a clearly broken screen, a makeshift heating arrangement, run down cabinets, a dirty bed cover, and was generally far from clean. Surprised at learning that the room was close to uninhabitable, the owners moved us to another room which was in much better shape. It looked clean enough, the floors swept, the linen clean this time but the walls, skirting boards, bathroom details haven't been cleaned for a long time and it shows. The condition of this motel and its shabby, junk filled, unkempt grounds is a great shame. The buildings are solid, the room are generously sized, the style is western USA - it could be a destination motel especially considering its proximity to the Cranbourne Botanic Gardens and the McLelland Sculpture Park. Why didn't we walk out? We had commitments and by that stage we simply didn't have time to find another place. We certainly skipped a shower in the morning though. Ugh!
