Yering Gorge Cottages

Cottage had very nice amenities and kitchen was well stocked with breakfast provisions. Location was peaceful and calm with crisp mornings and mist over the river and hills. Would visit again.

My family and I recently visited the Yarra Valley and were being shown the area by a private driver. As my father is an avid golfer whose goal is to play Greg Norman-designed courses around the world, our driver stopped to show us this golf club and explain the accommodation and golfing opportunities available on the property. Unfortunately, what should have been a positive introduction to the club became a disappointing experience. While we were viewing part of the course from a public area, a staff member in a blue vehicle approached us in a manner that felt unnecessarily confrontational and unwelcoming. Rather than providing information or assistance, the interaction left us feeling as though we were being treated as a nuisance. What made the experience particularly surprising was that throughout our two weeks in Australia we have encountered nothing but friendly, welcoming people. This was the first interaction that stood in stark contrast to the hospitality we have experienced everywhere else. As a family that spends a significant amount on golf travel each year and actively seeks out destination golf experiences, we were genuinely interested in learning more about the club. Unfortunately, this single interaction left such a negative impression that we no longer have any interest in visiting or staying at the property. A golf club's facilities are important, but customer service and hospitality are what ultimately determine whether guests choose to return. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that future visitors are treated with the warmth and professionalism that golfers expect.

We booked the 4 bedroom cottage as it was close to the venue where we were attending a wedding. The accomodation exceeded our expectations, it was clean, spacious, private and a great location. All staff were wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. We are already thinking of coming back so we can make the most of the accomodation.
